What Is Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) 

One of the most significant features of NEP 2024 is the creation of an Academic Bank of Credits (ABC). This digital repository allows students to: 

• Accumulate and store credits earned at different higher education institutions. 

• Transfer credits between institutions, facilitating smoother transitions if they switch colleges. 

• Ensure that their credits are valid and recognized across universities, making it easier to switch colleges or take courses from different institutions (including online platforms). 

This system makes switching between colleges more feasible, as students don’t lose their progress and can carry forward the credits they've earned.
